Scholar, Political Commentator, Public Servant
Henry R. Nau, a conservative scholar in the academic world, is professor emeritus of political science and international affairs at the Elliott School of International Affairs, The George Washington University. The author of numerous books and articles, he also served on the National Security Council under President Ronald Reagan from Jan.1981-Sep.1983. Among other duties, he was the White House sherpa for the G-7 and Cancun Summits. Since 2021 he has been a Distinguished Scholar at the Reagan Institute in Washington D.C. He has a B.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and M.A. and Ph.D degrees from The Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies.
